"The Bridge" Get Notorius
Guitar and fiddle duo Larry Unger and Eden MacAdam-Somer make up the band Notorious, a featured act on CCTV's "The Bridge". Unger and MacAdam perform traditional folk music from Yiddish vaudeville to Romanian gypsy as well as original pieces. "The Bridge" is a collaborative effort between Opendoortv.org, Ricart Prats and members of the Concord/Carlisle community who volunteered as crew. Show times are Monday night (10/1) at 10:00pm with encore presentations Wednesday at 6pm, Thursday at 10:30pm and Friday at 8:30am.
Julie Dougherty on the Bridge
Salem-based folksinger Julie Dougherty performed her original music on CCTV's "The Bridge". Imbued with feeling and edge, Dougherty's music calls to mind folk icons such as Joni Mitchell and Joan Armatrading. Her songs take on topics from Hurricane Katrina to love. She performs her music with guitarist Woody Woodward. "The Bridge" is a collaborative effort between Opendoortv.org, Ricart Prats and members of the Concord/Carlisle community who volunteered as crew. Patrick DeCoste, a Boston based guitarist, performed at CCTV's "The Bridge" one week before appearing at Shea Stadium to perform the Star Spangled Banner before thousands! DeCoste performs original songs which combine funk, blues and folk styles. A unique, versatile and intensely talented guitarist, DeCoste shares songs from his new CD "Inside the Unsaid" on "The Bridge."
